In 2014, Totem Events was birthed from a love of weddings & celebrations in San Diego, CA. Shortly after its inception, the founder, Jordan Dull, moved to Nashville to further the brand. Returning to her roots in Portland, Jordan and her partner, Carrie Wilmes styled and designed over a hundred celebrations for couples, families, churches and business.
In 2020, Jordan passed on the title of lead design and planning to Carrie.
Carrie’s passion for events along with her eye for detail and creative vision, has allowed her to seamlessly continue the legacy of Totem Events by creating unforgettable experiences for clients. Carrie’s unique vision for Totem Events hopes to serve couples throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond for years to come.

I started Totem Weddings + Events in 2014 and have planned events in multiple states across the country. Getting to execute the logistics of weddings & events comes naturally, and is something that I have been privileged to do for so many years. As Carrie has taken over the company, my role has evolved into support and for that I am so thankful.
Pieter Wilmes- Assistant
Pieter brings over eight years of experience in the events industry, honing his skills with leading companies such as Umbravilia Marquees in England, where he worked for six years, and Arden Events (formerly Party Place) for two years.
With a deep understanding of event logistics, Pieter plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless transitions between ceremony and reception setups. His expertise extends to coordinating smooth take-downs and collaborating with rental companies to efficiently clear venues, always keeping events on schedule. Pieter’s meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to any celebration.

My Why
Growing up in the Latino culture, it was always about family gatherings, hosting, nourishing, laughing, and making everyone in your home happy and fed.
Over the years I have naturally brought that same warmth and intentionality to wedding planning.
From creative, outside-the-box ideas to thoughtful details that make every guest feel like a meaningful part of the celebration. I believe in weaving personal touches that reflect each couple's unique story. My goal is to craft your event that is not only beautiful but deeply heartfelt.
